And I should make it clear that Thomas Tamm didn't discover the program itself. It is the unit in charge of national security wiretaps. It's probably the most secretive unit within the Justice Department. It's called the Office of Intelligence Policy and Review. He raised questions about it within the office he worked. During the course of his duties, he discovered a secret program that appeared to be illegal: warrantless wiretaps of American citizens.
He's the son of an FBI agent, a former prosecutor who went to work at the Justice Department in the unit that handled intelligence on suspected terrorists and spies. Thomas Tamm was entrusted with some of the country's most closely guarded secrets. He wrote this week's cover story about a man many regard as a hero and others as a traitor.

On a side note, when searching for info, the amount of people that don't realize that this isn't a looper or what this thing is for is mind boggling. But that app, good lord is so bad! It will not stay connected to the phone, every time it reconnects it creates blank files that I can't delete, it consistently crashes when transferring files. Great at band practice because I can get a clean, isolated recording on THAT take, not have to hunt down 4 minutes out of 2 hours only to have that sweet riff muddled in a basic mix. It's the first thing on my board so it's just a nice clean recording that I can mess with through an amp or with Amplitube, whatever.
I picked it up this spring because it's perfect for quick grabbing those ideas you have while jamming.
This pedal is SUCH a great idea, but the app is so terrible and I don't think they are updating it anymore. This is an old thread, but it came up when I was searching for resolution to this issue and I thought I'd scream at some clouds.

Sharing on my iPad crashes every single time, and on the Android phone it doesn't always respond to screen touches. I'm still using the app, but it still seems a little unreliable. In the end it pissed me off enough that I returned it. The app would also often crash when trying to share ideas whilst the pedal was paired - less crashy (but still a little bit) when the pedal was not paired. The buttons on the unit felt a bit crap, plasticy and not inspiring of build quality. Then the pedal would often create blank zero length files at the end of each riff, which meant I was building up loads of meaningless recordings. This was mirrored on my iPad mini also, so it's not the phone.

Absolutely abysmal bluetooth performance, with pairing problems constantly. The problems started when I got the pedal. The app runs pretty well and I really liked the simple 'auto-naming' of the riff, the tagging, and the ability to just quickly record a riff on my phone.
To expand on that - I bought one for a reasonable price of £80, after using the app standalone on my One-Plus-One Android phone. I've gotta eat a bit of humble pie I suspect.
